Pinvers, Sarzeau?

Hi,

Last year I made myself a SUP to paddle in Devon. I ended up paddling it in quite a few places and even took it on holiday to France and paddled on the Loire. We are planning this years holiday and thoughts have turned to France again as it was so lovely. We are looking at different areas to try somewhere different but I would like it if the paddleboards could come too.

One suggestion my wife has had is a campsite in Sarzeau near to Pinvers. I have tried to look if it is a suitable location to paddleboard but all I can tell for certain is that a lot of kite surfing happens there! I would hate to take the paddleboard and find that the conditions there do not suit at all. I am not a pro surfer so am not after big waves!

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Stew, I presume you mean Penvins near Sarzeau.
I often go to that area I would windsurf/kite on windy days and paddle on others.
The Quiberon area offers more options (west, surf / Wind, east flat for touring) and many camp sites.
August is not very windy so more paddling days over there.
